The Do Anywhere Workout

This month our co-founders Noa and Bryan are on the road bringing Vie Active to the US. Being constantly on the go, fitting in your daily workout can be challenging. But with this super simple "Do-Anywhere" workout they picked up from Equinox, missed workouts are a thing of the past. This "stack" style workout takes only 16 minutes giving you a full body workout, that will get your heart racing and energize you for the rest of the day.

THE STACK

Do move 1 for 30 seconds; rest for 30 seconds
Do moves 1 and 2 for 30 seconds each; rest for 30 seconds
Do moves 1, 2 and 3 for 30 seconds each; rest for 30 seconds
Do moves 1, 2, 3 and 4 for 30 seconds each; rest for 30 seconds
Do moves 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 for 30 seconds each; rest for 30 seconds
Do moves 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 for 30 seconds each; rest for 30 seconds

Then repeat the stack one more time.

THE MOVES

1. Body Weight Wide Row

2. Bulgarian Split Squat Jump

3. Pull Push Side Plank

4. Single Arm Plank Kick

5. Reverse Plank Leg Extension

6. Squat Jump 180 Degrees

Why it's effective?

It uses the principles of Density Training which increases the amount of work your doing, without increasing the recovery. This means shorter workouts that use more muscles, working both local and global muscle groups to increase fat burn and muscle tone. Yet, as they are short, dynamic workouts the prolonged stress on your muscles is reduced, so recovery time is shorter.

Interval style workouts also rev your metabolism quickly, to increase fat burn over a longer period of time than steady state cardio.
