Vie Active is a fast growing global retailer of cutting edge fitness fashion recognised for its exceptional quality of service and eye for the next big thing.
With dynamic growth in the domestic and global market, critical strategic change is on the agenda, in order for us to achieve the objective of dominating our sector as a truly successful force in fitness apparel.
As our business continues to grow we're looking to take on two new A-team players in PR/Marketing & Business Excellence internships to assist our management team in scaling our customer engagement, creating branded content and managing our community. These internships are an unpaid opportunity for a minimum of 6 months.
Witihin these roles, you will be an integral and valued part of our team, as well as of the wider business.Through shadowing and assisting our management team, you will gain first hand experience of the startup life in the busy world of fitness fashion. This is a unique opportunity for a bright individual to be involved with what is quickly becoming an iconic fitness fashion business.
PR & MARKETING INTERNSHIP
You will gain experience through the following tasks:
- Researching appropriate publications and writers
- Support in designing successful PR approaches for targets
- Tracking effectiveness
- Generating blog content
- Assisting the co-founder in community outreach and community management
- Researching marketing opportunities
- Assisting the management team in ad hoc office duties and administrative tasks
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Must be studying or recently graduated in a marketing or journalism based qualification
- Strong understanding of Word, Excel, essential.
- Knowledge of Photoshop would be an advantage.
- Ability to take initiative and must have the confidence to learn in a “live” environment.
- Must be reliable with excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of the importance of high quality as a function within the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work at least 3 days/week
- Minimum 6 months internship
BUSINESS EXCELLENCE INTERNSHIP
You will gain experience through the following tasks:
- Assisting the co-founder & general manager in operational and system implementations
- Understand the key accounts and their needs and operate with a focus on the maintenance and improvement of service levels.
- Order Management & Account relationship
- Assess internal processes and pro-actively focus on improving the processes that have greatest impact on business.
- Assisting the management team in ad hoc office duties and administrative tasks
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Must be studying or recently graduated in a Business Administration, Finance or equivalent qualification
- Ability to take initiative and must have the confidence to learn in a “live” environment.
- Must be reliable with excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of the importance of high quality as a function within the business.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong Math, Problem Solving, and Analytical skills
- Good Communication and Time Management skills
- Strong service and commercial oriented personality
- Strong team and interpersonal skills
- Previous related internship/work experience preferred
- Able to work at least 3 days/week
- Minimum 6 months internship
These position are unpaid but will include lunch, snacks, workouts and clothes! The role will be based in our Surry Hills office.
