Vie Activists: The Base Body Babes

In celebration of our 'Vie Activists' we wanted to get to know Felicia Obrem and Diana Johnson, the Base Body Babes, a little bit better. A fun and inspirational duo the sisters are Personal Trainers who specialise in training women. Their business, Base Body Babes, focuses on getting women feeling healthy, happy, fit, strong and confident in their skin.

The Base Body Babes believe that a major aspect of living an active life is consuming nutrient dense foods that serve as fuel for our bodies. Their Instagram account is full of delicious looking smoothies so we asked them to share their favourite healthy smoothie recipes with us and they sure did deliver! Blend up these recipes for a quick way to pack in a whole lot of nutritional goodness in one hit...Enjoy!


Banana and Macadamia Buzz
Ingredients:
2 frozen bananas
2tbs vanilla protein powder
1tbs mesquite powder
1tsp maca powder
6 raw macadamia nuts
2tbs natural yoghurt
1/4 cup coconut water
Method: Mix all ingredients together in a blender and top with chia seeds


Macadamia and Berry Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 Frozen Banana
1/2 cup frozen berries
3tbs vanilla protein powder
10 raw macadamia nuts
1/2 cup coconut water
Method: Mix all ingredients together in a blender and top with an activated buckini mix 


Kiwi and Strawberry Bang
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1 frozen kiwi
5 frozen strawberries
1 cup coconut water
3tbs vanilla protein powder 
Method: Mix all ingredients together in a blender and top with fresh diced kiwi fruit 


Fig and Cinnamon Mix
Ingredients
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen mixed berries
2 fresh figs
1/4 cup macadamia nuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup coconut water
2 tbs vanilla protein powder
Method: Mix all ingredients together in a blender and top with macadamia nuts 


Pomegranate Passion
Ingredients:
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
1/2 frozen banana
5 frozen strawberries
1 cup coconut water
2tbs vanilla protein powder
Method: Mix all ingredients together in a blender
