Chocolate Bliss Balls

Posted on April 08, 2014 by Sasha Hartley

These chocolate bliss balls are quickly becoming one of our favourite snacks at Vie Active. They are perfect for satisfying an afternoon sweet craving or for a pre or post workout snack! They are super healthy and easy to make. We recommend making a big batch and putting them in the fridge so you always have a healthy snack handy. The recipe is by our friends 'Fit Chicks in Training'.

Ingredients:
1 cup walnuts
1 cup pitted dates
2tbs cocoa or carob powder (whichever you prefer or even use both)
1tbs coconut oil
1 tbs honey (if you want them a little sweeter)

Recipe:
Blend walnuts, add dates and continue to blend, add carob, coconut oil and honey is desired. Roll into bite size balls and roll in desiccated coconut and
place in fridge for 1/2hr to set. Take them out and devour!

Serves: Approximately 15 balls
